#1 – WEB DEVELOPER

 

Job title: Website Developer

Contract: 12 Month fixed term contract

Reporting to: Head of Marketing

Aim of role: Develop new websites and continuously improve existing websites to increase brand awareness and sales whilst adhering to the brand and team values.

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the team.

We are looking for an experienced Website Developer to join our growing marketing team. This is a newly created role and you will be working closely with the Head of Marketing and the rest of the marketing team plus our SEO agency. We need you to develop stunning websites to help achieve our vision of being the world market leader in health and fitness supplements.

A natural appreciation of UX and UI best practice is essential. Maintaining and enhancing our current portfolio of websites is also part of the brief. Experience of hosted ecommerce platforms and template systems such as WooCommerce and WordPress is essential.

This role would suit an experienced Website Developer with a minimum of two years experience in a similar role. If you are highly creative, organised, customer focused, dynamic and passionate we would love to hear from you. You will be a team player, able to multi-task in a busy environment, and a self-motivated individual with great web developer skills.

Role & Responsibilities

Your role will need to change and adapt with the needs of the business. Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Develop brand new brochure ware websites with a focus on UX and UI.
  • Frontend coding to build and modify templates and blocks using HTML, CSS, JQuery and Javascript
  • Further development of existing sites built within WordPress including carrying out updates to the system core and plugins
  • Further development of WooCommerce including adding additional functions and carrying out updates to the system
  • Mobile, tablet and desktop responsive website creation
  • Upload new content and develop our existing websites
  • Enhancing existing websites with design and functionality improvements including making recommendations to improve the design, look and feel and customer journey
  • Implement SEO technical recommendations from our agency including cleaning up code and increasing the site speed
  • Streamlining web design and development practices to optimise project delivery times
  • Further ad hoc responsibilities

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Commercial hands-on knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, SASS, Javascript skills
  • Experience of working with WordPress and WooCommerce
  • Previous website development experience using template platforms/systems
  • Have knowledge of optimising website front-end load times, PWA & AMP
  • Understand our focus on usability, UX and UI with a determination to improve website conversions through intuitive and frictionless design
  • Experience in using prototyping software such as Adobe XD, Invision, Figma
  • High level Photoshop skills
  • Experience of project management and seeing a website development from start to finish with key milestones being met
  • Experience of implementing responsive & adaptive websites for all devices, understanding cross-browser/cross-platform issues that occur
  • Knowledge/experience of working with commercial and open source CMS systems/e-commerce
  • Marketing skills – an understanding of what customers want and need to see and able to work closely with the marketing and sales team on this
  • Branding skills – the ability to implement design features/accents throughout the websites for consistency and impact
  • Design consistency – consistency of colours and icons to encourage and assist the user through their purchasing journey
  • Accuracy and attention to detail – the ability to balance a website, align text, check spelling, ensure padding is even and use negative space effectively
  • Fluency in English
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role

#2 – SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

We are currently looking to recruit a Paid Social Manager.

As a Paid Social Manager you will be part of the Digital Performance team reporting to the Head of Digital. Your ultimate responsibility will be to build, test, develop, and optimise ads across multiple social media channels including Facebook and Instagram, Google, Pinterest and TikTok.

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have experience running paid social channels including Facebook and Instagram
  • Built and managed social campaigns adhering to specific KPIs
  • Able to analyse data, test and optimise to maximize performance
  • Able to translate data and provide campaign reports
  • Be ready to roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • To have complete ownership of their ad accounts, making strategic suggestions to continuously improve performance
  • To understand the importance of working as a team to ensure complete alignment of client strategies
  • To report and continuously analyse data in order to improve results and make recommendations.
